A Response to Father Stephen Pohl Arrest

As more information comes to light regarding the investigation into Father Stephen Pohl, former pastor of St. Margaret Mary Parish, St. Monica, St. Thomas, the Basilica of St. Joseph, St. Athanasius and St. Gabriel parishes, my thoughts remain with the children and families  of these parishes.  While we are all relieved that Pohl was apprehended by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department, many questions remain as to how Pohl was allowed to photograph so many children and what the Archdiocese of Louisville knew about Pohl’s interest in child pornography also known as child sexual abuse imagery.  The taking of sexually suggestive pictures, viewing children who have been placed in sexually suggestive positions or who have their genitals expose, and sharing images of children in sexually suggestive or in sexually explicit positions is child abuse.
