Attorney
Mikell Grafton
In Memoriam
Mikell Grafton graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1977. She was one of the two first women to serve as Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky in Louisville, trying multiple criminal trials including immigration fraud, multiple defendant white collar fraud, multiple defendant and state illegal drug conspiracies, bank robbery and bank fraud, air traffic control litigation and defense of government agencies. She was commended by the Secretary of Agriculture and other agencies for successful prosecutions. In 1983 Mikell left the public service arena and began private practice. She worked tirelessly for William F. McMurry & Associates for eight years, advocating for those who needed an attorney who would fight for them. We are eternally grateful for her contribution to the firm during her tenure here and her legacy will forever be remembered.
